Grammy’s Salad Dressing

You’ll find that no measuring is needed for most of my salad dressings and a lot of my recipes in general. The more you cook and get comfortable in the kitchen, the more you’ll appreciate using one less tool or doing one less step. In case you’re not comfortable free-balling it just yet, I provided measurements just in case. I like a more vinegar-forward salad dressing, so I tend to use equal parts oil and vinegar as a base for most dressing recipes.

Prep Time

Cook Time

0 minutes

Serves

1 large salad

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup white balsamic
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp Lawry’s seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • a few cranks of pepper (to taste)

Steps (no measurements Version)

1

Drizzle equal parts balsamic and olive oil over green salad (I think this goes best with a simple combo of romaine, cucumbers, tomatoes, and carrots).

2

Sprinkle seasonings over salad and toss.

3

Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. I always start with conservative amounts of vinegar and oil because you can always add more, but you can’t take it away. Enjoy!

Steps (Measurements Version)

1

Combine all ingredients in a measuring cup and whisk together.

2

Pour over salad and toss. Enjoy!
