aBOUT ME

Hi! Thanks for checking out FIRL. My name is Carolyn and I am a chef turned nurse practitioner turned chef again. Basically, I work full time in cardiology but my real passion is cooking, baking, clothes and homemaking. I had some professional training as a chef in college when I studied at the Swiss School of Tourism and Hospitality, but it’s been a while since I’ve been in a professional kitchen. All this to say, I have a solid foundation of cooking and baking skills, but deeply relate to wanting a quick and delicious meal over something time-consuming and fussy. I currently live in Manhattan, New York with my husband, but I’m originally from outside of Boston. I love all things New England and am so excited to grow this page and share more of my recipes and lifestyle with you.
